Should we be looking at this as a traffic leak or not?

Personally im torn on the idea of adding links to Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook on site tours, on one hand, i do think its somewhat of a traffic leak but i think the actual amount of 'lost' traffic would be so minimal it shouldnt really have any effect on sales or convversions, on the other hand, i can also see how this could be a good tool to get a surfer who has a cookie set returning to the site time and time again potentially making me a sale.

What are your folks thoughts on this practice, good or bad?

As traffic leaks go, its certainly not the worst thing that could be put on a paysites tour.
