Network Cable Splitter?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an ethernet cable splitter?

What i need it to turn one outgoing line in to 2 while im networking the office today and i know other cables have these available but ive never had the need for one of these splitters before.

Basically i *think* im looking for some kind of adaptor to plug the ethernet cable into which then has two output lines coming out of it.

Does that make sense?

Yes it does, and yes there is such an animal .. you may need to get one from your cable provider though.

Actually i dont for this particular task.

I need to run a cable through a wall which has to split on the other side of the wall where the cable enters.

I had thought of a hub but its not practical to use one in this instance

I've seen these cable splitters at radio shack for network cables.

Lee, be careful with splitting ethernet cable, don't forget that they are designed to carry one signal unless you use a hub / switch to manage the signal divisions....but I am sure you know what you are doing!!!
