We've been using digital format for the last 12 months since these new regulations were proposed which also gives us the opportunity to print them out in full hard copy if needed.
Have you given any thought to the pro's and con's of using either hardcopy or digital media to store your docs?

Since we are relativly new to this, am wondering if anyone can suggest an actual step by step solution to storing digital files (i.e. the file structure that you use) or recommend sofware that makes all this easy.

I hope anyone who decides to store their docs electronically makes sure to
have several backups. there's a lot at stake for u.s. webmasters if
something happens to those ids.
I have seen a couple programs advertised on webmaster boards designed to do all the cross-indexing for you.
