Red Barn Restaurants?
When I was a little kid (around 4 years to 7 years old) it used to be my favourite place for a hamburger, and I even had my 4th or 5th birthday there, similar to how kids have their birthdays at McDonalds nowadays.

That is hilarious. And I do remember them,thos big red buildings.
The converted ours to a Burger Chef and the barn facade as removed, then a pizza place. Last I heard, it was a real estate office.

LOL...well, I hate to admit it but I do remember them.
I also remember the days before McDonalds and Burger King, the only places we went to eat "fast food" was was the A&W Rootbeer stands and Currens drive ups...all drive in resturants. They served you with trays that hung on your windows...yup, I is an old one!
I remember Red Barn and even the slogan, "when the hungries hit, hit the Red Barn".
There is a vacant Red Barn in my neighborhood here in Oakland.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't part of Masters of the Universe take place at a Red Barn?

the Barns Gone Bye photos are great hehe. Seeing what old Red Barns have since become. I'm not old enough to remember those restaurants but stuff like that tickles my fancy.
Oh I definately remember them. There's actually one of the original buildings still up and being used by another restaurant here in cleveland ... and they're selling chicken too.

I do remember that! Before all the fast food places .. the one that started it all in the Northwest was Dairy Queen... and BurgerVille.. I loved BurgerVille and their special sauce yum! Ooohhh and Norths Chuck Wagon... where it's all you can eat and you serve yourself out of a wagon type thing lol

I can remember eating at Red Barn on the way to work when I was a supervisor for a cable company (long before the big conglomorates like Comcast and RoadRunner)
I had totally forgotten about them... thanks for some pleasant memories!
definitely.... i remember ours well. it was a lot bigger than any of those pics, and had almost no windows... very dark inside... was crazy...
but good food.
