Very cool. I'd be really interested in hearing more about the economics of this event. I understand that you probably don't want to talk specifics, but even generalities would be much appreciated. In the end, were you able to show a direct profit in the form of new signups, etc. from the event, or was it strictly used for branding purposes?
We've been looking into doing something similar here in Orlando for when we officially launch our site, and start mass branding/advertising it, start up the affiliate programs, etc. Looks like it'll be about $5k a pop by the time all is said and done with...
