Why Dont More Sponsors SEO Their Sites?

I dont understand some sponsors..

They have some really good looking tours for affiliates to promote and, from what i gather, affiliates promote them heavily but, the sponsor doesnt optimize their tours for the search engines.

You'd think sponsors would love the sites to be optimized especially with some of the traffic flow going to them, the PR boost alone should guarantee them top 10 listings if the sites were optimized properly.

Instead though, they have image names like image1.jpg, image2.jpg and their meta tags read 'gay porn sex xxx hardcore pics and movies'.

I just dont understand some sponsors, spending an extra 5 minutes when putting a site together could potentially increase their bottom line profits.

lol, why do you care when that just means more competition for you :P

It's been my experience that most people fall into one of the following categories when it comes to SEO:

(1) It's a big mystery and I don't know what to do.

(2) Putting a META keywords tag is all I need to do to get into search engines.

(3) I know some of what search engines like, but I'm too lazy or busy to write keyword-rich, legitimate content for my site, so I'll write a script that just produces SPAM pages for search engines. Or, I'll resort to other tricks of the moment to spam my way to the top.

(4) They hire search engine marketing companies to do the optimization for them.

(5) People who actually know how a site is properly optimized for a search engine and spend time writing content that is both relevant for the surfer and the search engine.

(6) They can't be bothered with any of the above and just buy Google Adwords.

I find that most adult webmasters or websites don't want to spend a lot of time and effort on SEO. They want quick, they want guaranteed, they want a top 10, they want it now - they want to spin bullshit into gold.

Gotta agree with Dzinbear on this. It isn't just optimizing the pages either, its the banners... like come on Banner1? Why not at least twink-01 or nude-twink-01?

I think sponsors are to consumed with grabbing sign ups but in all honestly, taking the time to SEO their front end, and offering SEO aids to their affiliates can only help them out. For example Pridebucks offers text sentances for their webmasters... 5 or 6 I believe per site... now why can't other sponsors do that? Make it easier for the average Joe Webmaster to add good text links?

Boggles the mind at times, least for me. anyhow just my opinion
