Out Of Interest - Which Content Providers Do You Need Model ID's From?

Just wanted to find out who you are still owed model id's from provider wise?

Also, which providers are refusing to give model id's out at the present time?

FocusAdult-Got them NO problem. Everything you purchase from them is in your history with the ID's and releases in zip form. I'd HIGHLY recommend them.

FAProductions-They didn't have documentation for a couple of sets I had, so they compensated me with brand new content and gave me ID's and releases. Very professional and accommodating.

Note-Anyone that HAS documentation for the content I don't have, I'd be willing to pay for it.

The one we need and from what I have heard will be hard to get is the model releasing from MiamiStudios.com. All the other ones I don't think will be a problem.

Good day all. I'm a newbie here, only a few days old...sometimes feel like that in real life too.

Anyway, I've run across a few content providers who are refusing to give out docs. A couple come as a big surprises to me too, since long time relations have always been good.

Rudy at SoloBoys / AllBoyMag has been unresponsive to any of my emails about docs.

Steve Brewer owner of Zone Internet aka (old) ExclusiveTwinks and (new same content) FreshWaveAgency, have also been totally unresponsive - a lot money out the window here I guess.

Electroworks Corporation, aka GuyCds, Dick! and NYCBoys won't provide the docs. saying it would violate their model agreements. - they offered to sell me their plug-in package instead which contains much of very same material I bought from them - how's that for a kick in the head!

Both Xamo, as well as, Xphtography have thus far been unresponsive.

DB Stuart at RockBottomContent told me that his comapny bought / took over RBC in Oct 2004, and that if I re-buy the (same) content from them then they'll provide the docs. Other-wise they can't help. The old owners, Isis Enterprises / Mat Waldie have thus far proved to be unreachable.

AllGayProvider refuses to believe that the secondary producer must have copies of the releases. And says he spent hours reading the law....he adds he'll try to do up a database of docs for download, but it will take him a very long time to do.

Adultcontent.ca says that their Canadian "producers don't want to be compliant for the moment with US laws that could bring legal issues from the models". But adds that they are in discussion with those producers and will try to convince them otherwise.

AdultLegal, ZipMaters / ZipContent says their working on the matter and are trying to figuring it all out...no definite answers yet.

Compelling Content Creators / AdultContentBrokers, Flick Media / MoFo Productions and WoofMedia / BlueDawg (old BasicMale) are all out of business. Can't reach them. None of their personal email addresses or home phone numbers work either.

It's all so very, very frustrating.

As far as Miami Studios goes...I think we all know what / who we're dealing there. And there's only one way to deal with that.

On the positive side:

CitiBoyz, GayAdulyPhotos, MaxPixels, Ounique, and even Eurofun2000 Studios have been outstanding in cooperation. These guys deserver praise and will get much more business.

Good for you John, and you know what I really don't understand? Them having the docs but wanting you to re-purchase the content to get them.. that's just not right, they may be "within their rights" but it's just not ethical or in line with good customer service in my opinion

Rudy at SoloBoys/Allboy is a good friend of mine, and I've always found he and Nye to be great guys.

I'll get in touch and see what the deal is. I do know that his business partner Nye just lost his sister, and they've been overwhelmed with things, so it may just be overload.

to graphicsbytia, I'm not all that sure it is actually "within their rights" Yet another complexity of the law I suppose.

On Friday afternoon I spoke with two attorneys. One is my local guy, who admittedly is not an expert on adult internet law but has a lot of experience with the DOJ. And in his view...I'm paraphrasing here ...the DOJ would more likely than not view the refusal as an attempt to circumvent responsibilities of the primary under the law thusly giving them probable cause for a warrant on that primary.

The other I spoke with is an internet law specialists. She commented that the DOJ already made a point to reference their view on a primary who refuses to release the records to a secondary.

It's on page 29614 of the posting at the Federal Register under "Burdensomeness"

"Three commenters commented that the record-shifting requirements
under Sec. Sec. 75.2(a) and (b) are impermissibly burdensome.
According to the commenters, primary producers would resist turning
over records that contain trade secrets, such as the identities of
performers. The Department declines to adopt these comments. The D.C.
Circuit Court clearly held in American Library Ass'n v. Reno that the
record-keeping requirements were not unconstitutionally burdensome.
Any primary producer who fails to release the records to a secondary
producer is simply in violation of the regulations and may not use the
excuse that the records contain alleged trade secrets to avoid
compliance."

In effort to find three attorneys who agree (or almost agree), and since I have had prior communications with Larry Walters and J. D. Obenberger, I emailed both to get their take on this. I'm waiting to hear back from them.... I'm sure they are both VERY busy with all this 2257 stuff so it got to give them some time to write back.

And if they agree then what....I suppose that opens up the option of filing legal papers / complaints against those primaries whose refusal most negatively effected the business of secondary.

What a shame....what a miss....a nightmare for all.

I'm very sorry to hear about Nyve's loss...I sure know what that feels like. And now I fell terrible about naming SoloBoys here.

After noticing that they just (past couple of days) took down their content site I simply fiqured their were to continue to ignor my doc. requests.

I heard from Rudy at SoloBoys/Allboymag. In fact, he's offered to replace all the old content I bought from him years ago with brand new fresh faces...with all the docs. Can't ask for better cooperation than that.
