This has been a debate in the industry for almost as long as i can remember LOL
Im personally of the view that traffic is the most important aspect of a successful site, without traffic, you wont make any sales.
However, i have also seen people debate that content is the most important aspect because, without content, you wont make any sales.
What are your thoughts on this? is traffic more important than the type of content you utilize on your sites?

Well let's see, if you have the best damn content in the world but no traffic you can't make any sales, if you have crap content but loads of traffic, odds are you will make a sale or two... so logic would dictate then that traffic is #1 but to make that traffic truly pay off, you do need decent content... which then would be a close #2...
but hell just me thinking out loud, so feel free to put the ear plugs in.

I think both are important, but traffic is the most important to me. If I have traffic, but I’m not making sales with it for my site I can always trade it with others for traffic that does better for the content that I offer.
many programs have TERRIBLE content, which is virtually all plugins. they make money on exit consoles, email signups, and upsells. so you can make money with horrible content.
but you can't make money with a great site if no one sees it.
so traffic seems more important to me.
