Gosh, how does that advert on your front page work? The dating one. It seems to know not only what country I'm in, but also which City nd - most freaky - which part of the city. Is that a coincidence or is there some freakishly clever coding going on?
it's done with IP geotargeting....your browser gives your ip address when you access the site...it compares that ip with a data array or database of known IP ranges by country, city, region etc and presents that ad to you...Quote:
