The Young And William Hung

Well I thought I would relate this funny story to you. Starting about two or three weeks ago, my movie review for William Huggins' The Young and the Hung started getting a larger then usual number of page views.

I looked at my stats and noticed hundreds of searches from Google with the name "William Hung" For those who are out of the loop --- and I was cause I don't watch it -- William Hung is like a finalist or something on American Idol right now.

So I went to Google - and sure enough after typing in his name, the link to my porn review appeared third. Sadly, I didn't sell any copies of the film. I guess those accidental surfers just weren't
my target market :P

I don't watch American Idol either - in fact don't watch TV at all - but William Hung's American Idol appearance clip was sent to me several times by coworkers at the office or friends so I have watched it, and it is funny as hell.

He tried out and was totally shot down as a contestant. Never even made it on to the show beyond the try outs. But people loved him so much that he's become an online celebrity. The huge online movement to give him another shot at stardom has gone so far that now mainstream media outlets are picking up on it and I heard he just signed a record deal this week!
