Gay Colors

What color schemes have you found work best on your sites? Do certain colors go with certain niches? What colors definately don't ever work? With niches, have you ever tried following hanky color themes?

When it comes to color scheemes on sites generaly speaking *I* tend to use schemes using the moods individual colors reflect for the niches themselves so for example, on a fetish site i would opt for a red or a black them whilst on a twink site i would probably go for something along the lines of red, a deep pink, subtle blue or an orange.

I'm actually trying to put together a hankie codes website ... problem is pic content. So, until it goes up, can't answer you on how the various colors are going to work.

I am horrible about picking out the colors. I make the clients tell me. :) I used to have a site that showed me different colors & the opposites, etc but I lost it.

Actually I was thinking about this question this morning, then I changed my site color to match my sponsor's site... All light green, ugly, but I guess I have to match.
