Porn Idol - Another One

NEW YORK - Promoter Will Clark announced today the fall schedule for his New York gay porn events, Porn Idol: Round 3 and Porno Bingo.

The Porn Idol contests will take place at New York City's O.W. Bar each Thursday for five weeks starting September 15. Week five, the October 13 event, is the last date in this round for new contestants to enter. The winner of each week's contest will receive $100, lube, a week's membership to the 19th Street Gym, porn DVDs, and additional prizes.

The five winners will compete in the Round 3 Finale on October 20 in new categories created specially for this final round. The winner of the finale will receive $500, a photo session with photographer Charles Hovland, and an afternoon on the Urban Desire, a cruise ship for 6. Other prizes will be announced throughout the run of the event.

Celebrity judges on each week's Porn Idol panel will include comedian Poppi Kramer, Porn Idol Round 1 and 2 winners Eric Moon and Tre Xavier, and promoter John Henry (Sept. 15); porn star Arpad Miklos, Sirius Radio's Derek Hartley, and singer Matthew Duffy (Sept. 22); porn star Jason Dean and performers Yolanda and Danny Katz (Sept. 29); the cast of Naked Boys Singing (Oct. 6); and porn star Kyle Douglas, Cargo editor Aaron Krach, and comedian Danny Williams (Oct. 13).

Celebrity judges for the Round 3 Finale (Oct.20) will include porn star Manuel Torres, Village Voice columnist Michael Musto, drag diva Charmaigne, and promoter Bobby McGuire.

Clark's second event, Porno Bingo, takes place at New York City's 9th Ave. Bistro from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. each Wednesday night, starting on Sept. 14. A different local gay-porn star will guest-call the games each evening.

One dollar per card sold for each of the evening's four games will be donated to nonprofit organizations: the Red Cross, Broadway Cares, Out of Bounds, the Gay/Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, the New York Gay Men's Chorus, the Stonewall Democrats, Visual AIDS, AIDS Service Center of New York, National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, and HIV Forum New York City among them.

Guest callers include Blu Kennedy (Sept.14), Adam Faust (Sept. 21 — Leather Night), Porn Idol: Round 2 winner Tre Xavier (Sept. 28), Manuel Torres (Oct. 5), Enrico Vega (Oct. 12), Alex Collack (Oct. 19), Tony Serrano (Oct. 26), and Mario Ortiz (Nov. 2). Future guest callers will be Kyle Douglas (Nov. 16) and Chad Hunt (Dec. 7).

Didnt the creators or American Idol already sue a company who was using 'porn idol' as a site / concept of theirs earlier this year or late last year?

I'll be surprised if the same doesnt happen for this company too.

Do the people who think up these ideas not bother doing any background checks first?
