Alternative Revenue Streams...

Okay we all know that paysites are where the big bucks are at right? But, how many of you realize that you can actually make some pretty decent money from a surfer without them having to pay to join a porn site?

There several different types of programs floating around the industry at the moment which offer you a great alternative to making money that dont involve the surfer having to pay for porn, the main one being the 4free type program. Basically, the surfer enters their email address and gets either, free pictures everyday for as long as they remain a member or, they get a VIP membership to a more condensed members area inside a site.

Most of these '4free' type programs work on the same method, surfer enters email address, surfer gets access to porn, you make money, usually around $0.50 to $1 per collected email address.

So lets take a look at some ways you can promote email collection programs on your existing and future sites without having to redo your existing marketing.

1. Sell it as free.

We all know that surfers are becoming more and more choosing when it comes to whipping their credit cards out to make a purchase, with that in mind, selling the 'Free VIP Membership' angle works well, you could even give a shot at telling them by joining, they get a free preview of the site before they by their full priced membership ;)

2. Sell it first, sell it last.

Email collection programs are probably one of the best multi marketing sponsors you can use on your sites, the idea is to get the surfer to enter their email address with that in mind, offer up an email collection program the second a surfer hits your site and, make sure it is also the last thing the surfer sees when leaving! They might not join immediately upon hitting your site because they may be 'searching' for something else however, if they dont find it, giving them the 'free VIP membership' as a last ditch effort to make a sale may just work for you.

3. Consoles.

Yup i know we are all tending to shy away from consoles over the past couple of years but, i really cant say this enough, consoles work and, whats more, having a console strategy in place will ensure they keep working. If you own a paysite for example, make sure that you offer the collection box as the last window you pop, on free sites, the methodology is the same but, if you can get away with it in the days of SP2 use email collections on blur consoles so its the last thing a surfer sees after they close your site down.

4. Link Tables.

You've heard me talk about link tables over the past couple of threads, however, instead of filling a small group of cells with text links, why not place a collection box on your site and have a couple of text links above and below that going to your regular sponsors? Most collection boxes from these types of sponsor open in a new window and, even if they dont, changing the form code really isnt that difficult so that they do.

5. FPA's (Full Page Ads).

I know a lot of us still use FPA's as an integral part of our filtering process, why not throw a collection box up on your FPA's also? In addition to it being another potential stream of easy revenue, its going to make your FPA's look different from everyone elses!

6. Customization.

Another thing that we so often forget when sponors give us these marketing tools is that, they can be customized to suit the look and, more importantly, the feel of our sites. If something looks like it a part of the site the surfer is currently on, they are going to be more likely to see what it is.

7. Join yourself.

Personal recommendation is still and, always has been the best seller when it came to porn, join these collection programs yourself and see just what the surfer is going to be getting access to, let the surfer know that YOU have joined the program and are loving it, tell them what they are going to be getting access to in detail. Personal recommendation really does work and, if you havent tried it yet do so and you'll see what i mean!

When all is said and done, surfers are becoming more demanding when it comes to the sites they will join, we need to constantly change not only our marketing efforts but, the products and services we offer surfers on our sites, by doing so, we remain profitable and, thats what we are in business to do, make money. Email collection and 4free programs offer adult webmasters a great way to tap in to an additional revenue stream, with very little work.
