How Is Your Office Organized?

So it just struck me a few minutes ago that the way we have the office laid out is somewhat errr, 'cluttered'.

Bearing in mind that we only recently redid the office layout in Febuary this year im thinking that it needs to be redone again LOL

Id take a picture of my desk at the moment but im afraid it would break the camera its so untidy LOL

How do you folks make sure your work space stays organized and, more importantly, is easy to make your way around and find things?

Gee, I don't know, Lee. Call me crazy, but the way I keep my desk organized is just by... well, organizing it. Haha.

I'm a stickler for an uncluttered work space... at work. My writing desk at home is another story, b/cuz that's where all my press releases and advance CDs and DVDs build up as I write about them. But that's only b/cuz my place is just too fucking small. I need a two-bedroom place so I can make one of the rooms my office space. Right now my office is in my bedroom.

But my office here at AVN is spotless. Everything has a place, and as soon as I get something in the door, I make sure it goes right to its place. It's really as simple as that. I really have no patience for clutter. It stresses me out.

I do organize my space at home, by the way. It's just that I have so much stuff coming in the door and the space is so small, it's harder to keep that area as spotless as my space at the office.

I live with the King of the neat freaks, so my desk is the only thing that I allow to get cluttered.


although it's still quite neat.

I find I work better when I take a day every month or so to totally dismantle my set up, vacuume, polish and clean every thing, put it all back together and get it nice and organized.

How is it organized? From messy to messier. But all that crap is pretty necessary. It's not like there are Big Gulps laying everywhere. :) We either deal with it or pay for a place with twice the square footage.

It's only the work rooms that are a little crusty. The "public" areas are pretty clean.
