In 1979, we'll say that a barely legal me used to have to go to the next small town over to pick up my copies of Blueboy and Numbers. There was a cigar store in B. that carried some gay porn mags. I discovered that sometimes when I picked up a gay mag that some of the other guys would be checking me out.

So, one day I walked into the store, there was the usual line up of men in front of the magazine rack, so I reached right in picked up a Blueboy, and waited to see who looked. One guy did, so I flipped through the pages for a minute. He continued to look in my direction every few seconds, so I put the mag back on the shelf, turned in his direction, smiled, and walked out of the store.

He followed. We both got in our cars and I led the way. He followed me down one of the country roads, and when we were far enough outside of town, I stopped on the side of the road, got out of my car, and walked into the corn field. He followed.

I blew him. He enjoyed it. We parted without saying much of anything. This was pretty ballsy for a young guy in a small town.

At 17 my only homosexual encounters were youthful experimentations, but there was a bookstore close to home that had a rather large, rather accessible, rather easy-to-steal-from adult section. Usually, I was the one checking out what magazines the other guys were picking up.

One particularly "balsy" day a guy came in while I was browsing. He was about 5'10" or 5'11" wearing a pair of tight, faded blue jeans, classic white t, leather boots and a black leather jacket. Very compact and very muscular, he was bulging out of his clothes in all the right places. Walking directly to the adult section he reached immediately for the latest issue of "Playgirl" and took it right to the cashier.

In my own youth, ignorance and naievete (sp?) I was certain this meant he was gay, which of course meant that he would want to fool around with me. Because as everyone knows, fags are sex crazy and after every guy that will give them a chance. I'm not certain how much of that was going on in my subconcious, or how much of it was just my own 17 year old hormones driving me to follow my dick regardless of potential consequence. Whatever the reason, I followed him out of the store.

Suddenly, it occured to me that he may have purchased the magazine for a female friend that was to embarassed to get it herself. So I called to him.

"Excuse me."

"Yes" he said, looking a little puzzled but definitely intrigued. I could tell by the sudden sparkle in his eye that he liked what he saw.

"Who did you buy that magazine for?"

"Myself."

"Wanna look at it together?"

Well, he answered yes and told me we could have privacy at his house. I followed him home and was there for about 4 hours. We covered all the basics and he really took a long time to make sure my body was ready for what he knew was going to be a first. When he fucked me it didn't hurt at all because I had been so relaxed and prepped. The problem is, I really didn't feel much of anything at all because I was so nervous, scared and confused.

Looking back, I guess it was a pretty ballsy move on my part to aproach a strange muscle-man in the parking lot of a bookstore. And while it was fun, and I learned a lot from him that summer...I just wish my first time had meant something more than physical. But I can't afford too many regrets, so I've learned to let that one go.

OK.. I'll bite.

When I was in high school, I used to tutor other students in Chemistry, computer Ed and History. When I took a Canadian Literature class in my last year, I had a HUGE crush on a the quarterback on the football team. He was in that class, but had never ackowledged my presence. About two months before I graduated, he asked me if i could help him out with his final project, and I jumped at the chance to spend any time with him alone. My parents were on tour that month (they're musicians) and so I had the house to myself... well, he came over, one thing led to another, and after I had the best bang of my young life, he told me he'd not really needed help with his project, but had been trying to figure out a way to get me alone away from school for months.

Funny thing was that not long after this happened, I had two other athletes ask me for help, one in a course I didn't even take.

And although I was getting crappy marks in health class, after a...um... "private lesson" with the gym coach, my marks went through the roof.

I miss high school sometimes.
