Has a gay site ever been prosecuted for obscenity or anything like that? Does the govt even care about gay sites? O do they just go after straight sites?
I'm talking about regular vanilla fuck-n-suck gay porn, nothing extreme or anything.
When you watch a news report about porn they always talk about the women, never the men. So does gay kind of fall under the radar because its all men?
No.
I have never heard of a legal gay site owner being presecuted on obscenity charges and ive done a lot of looking to find that info.
That isnt to say we dont need to be equally vigilant when it comes to the items we publish on our sites. Just because something hasnt happened, that doesnt mean it wont.

I think it's primarily because there are no "exploited women" involved. The people pushing for porn prosecutions are the pro-family groups.
They don't want young women being taken advantage of, kids seeing porn online or porn killing marriages. Even though all of that is exaggerated, gay porn doesn't apply to any of it. So who is going to call for such prosecutions?
Another thing is the unpredictable nature of gay legal issues.
Just another reason to have all of your documents in top notch order. If things ever do hit the fan, you have less to worry about.
Well you question is pretty broad. Prosecuted by whom? What obsenity law?
2257 is not about obsenity... it pertains to record-keeping as proof of age for employees.
Are you concerned about prosecution from local authorities? Or are you concerned about presecution from the US Department of Justice?
Your local district attorney might wake up tomorrow, see that he needs to run for re-election, and decide to conduct a sting... if there is some kind of law they assert you are breaking. For example, cities have closed bathouses by enforcing zoning ordinances.
As far as the Dept of Justice... Lee is correct - no prosecutions.
One thing I have certainly realized in this business.. the current landscape of federal criminal laws makes the DOJ horribly inefficient in its job. It is probably is a good statement on how ineffective federal criminal laws are in general. (and why a federal hate crimes law is a bad idea...because no one would ever get prosecuted)
