I'm wondering what the hair style is called when a black guys hairy is braided in thin braids that hang on his head like fettucine. Are they just braids or are they called something specific. And while we're at it, perhaps we could define and name other hair styles. I'm going to be doing some writing about black guys in some free galleries.

Braids I think, “Braided Black Brothers” works for me
I dont beleive they are called anything other than braids, however, that being said, you might want to search in Google to see if you can find any hair salons that deal just with african american styles, im pretty sure you could at least find some other keywords from such a site :)

Dredlocks is the term you're wanting Michael.
I thought dreds were thicker and less than perfect, more unkept looking.
