Has anybody ever tried sharing sample videos/pics on P2P clients like Bearshare, Limewire, eMule, etc? Seems like an interesting viral marketing option.
I'm curious to find out if anybody's tried it or had success.

Back in the day....
When Media Player allowed you to pop a console half way through a clip, we used that method and it worked exceptionally well, these days however, id guess it doesnt work as well.
Thats about the only input i can offer.

As with Lee, we also played that game and we even went as far as to dedicate a staff member solely to the project.
We had multiple boxes hosting tons of videos and pictures packages (prior to our enlarged content being leased out).
The guy knew what he was doing: he set up a script that would copy the top queries (adult only), duplicate a file and rename it. Any sort of tendency ('xxx' or 'big cock' queries), the file was permanent.
Traffic was through the roof (all were loving the freebies), however, joins were not. Conversions were between 1:10,000 & 1:18,000, depending on the site.
We did not even come close to paying his wages.
