Imagine this...
There were to be a contest with the prize of $100,000 USD
for the most creative - new - yet untouched theme in the gay adult market...
brainstorm it...

well, maybe it's just me... but if I really came up with an amazing new untouched idea, why would I go and post it on a webmaster board so somebody else could swipe my idea?
OK, here's my idea.
On the straight side of our business there's a site called Crack Whore Confessions (I know how to link but am choosing not to). So how about TweakerBoys.com, a site featuring gay or straight tweaked-out guys talking about their lives and jacking off or having sex. You could do a little graphic showing how many days they've gone without sleep and how many times they've had unprotected sex in the last 24 hours.
Am I serious? Decide for yourself. Would it make money? I sure think so.

I certainly hope you are joking because that is the most disgusting thing I've heard in a long time. It's not even a funny thing to joke about! You live in SF and you've seen what meth is doing to our community.
And the sad part is you are right, it probably would make money. Just like the twink bareback sites do. Let's watch kids risk theirs lives and get paid for it! Just plain sad and disgusting in my opinion!
Imagine brainstorming great ideas and posting them in an imaginary thread where you get an imaginary prize of $100,000 USD and people really use your ideas and really make $100,000 USD off them :high:

I do know though - how one CAN have the FEELING that their ideas are going to get stolen... I do know how that can and does happen all the time...

i had an idea for a str8 site i'd love to see developed but after last june, i won't be able to do that. there's a b pornstar - but a high b pornstar. he's cute, he's very funny, and he can even act. he's been in a LOT of movies in many niches - and his movies are very available through wwc. heck, he might even be findable to contribute to the site.
also thought about a "public twink pics" site where the cameraman supposedly finds underdressed twinks in public places. some could be messing around, or nude sunbathing but it would be shot a little lower quality to give it the real feel that would have to be involved to make the site seem more authentic.
I've had a couple ideas stolen as well and leaked to other webmasters after letting go a company I had hired that wasn't performing. I thought we left on good terms but oddly enough a couple months after I let the company go two competing websites, that hired the company, had these niches up and running, go figure. Well I was certainly not serious about doing such a thing myself. I agree with you Keith about the damage that meth has inflicted on the gay community. And while ethics in this business can be hard to qualify and agree on, it would definitely violate my personal beliefs.
