How Often Do You Try Something New?

Just wondered how often you folks tried out new things, whether they be new niches, new sponsors, traffic brokers, content providers, etc etc?

Gary and I were just chatting and it seems like the past month or two we have really slowed down with trying out new things taking the stance of sticking to what we already know is working.

That being said, we just paid out $500 for a paid traffic campaign to start on the 1st so hopefully, we'll see some good results from that.

So, how often do you folks try out new things with your business?

i like to try new stuff as often as we can. michael is more conservative, and while he's willing to be convinced, sometimes i have to drag him kicking and screaming to try new things.

heck, i went from porn to nn just last year and tried a brand new (to us) straight niche in doing so. in the last week, we've added 2 new traffic sources and in the last two weeks decided to add a new cms.

sometimes things you do don't work, but sometimes they do. i'd hate to miss out.

On a pretty regular / frequent basis. I don't ignore the past discoveries/sites/traffic etc... But if I can find a new source that adds a significant increase in good traffic, good sales then that's important to me. I've found that by doing this I'm able to create constant interest, tap into traffic and get more sales and my sites and growth don't stagnate as a result.

I spend about 3 days a month looking for new traffic sources, but to tell the truth it really has not worked out very well. Really other than the big 10 or so directories I have not found any that are worth the time and the loss of traffic too other directress to be worth it. But every month I try and try again, in fact that’s what I am doing right now, so if you have a directory that you think I should check out just let us know.
