Question about Browsers
Ok, I wanted to find out how many of us program their sites to work on the diffrent browsers out there? Do you just program your sites and not test them on all the browsers?
I know I use FireFox 50% of the time, and IE 50% of the time.
What about http://www.avantbrowser.com/ or the others?

My stats show:
MS Internet Explorer 90 %
Netscape 4.9 %
Mozilla 1.5 %
Opera 1.4 %
Safari 1.1 %
Unknown 0.3 %
Firebird 0.2 %
WebTV 0.1 %
so I focus on IE!
cheers,

I worry about IE here, too. I see no reason to raise a sweat over 1% of the market share. Or, even 5% of the market. I've got better things to do with my time.

I know some will thump on our heads that good design should allow for every browser - but there are times where it just makes sense to put your time into what works in IE ... and the other 5% who haven't caught up to the lastest version or the available goodies like quicktime or Flash etc - oh, well ... update or get out of the way!
And I'm not trying to be a smart-ass or flipant. A case in point is where we'd be already with computer technology if Microsoft hadn't hamstrung itself in the early days by saying they'd make future versions backwards compatible. Keeping DOS alive long after it had reached its full potential slowed the movement into programming that wasn't DOS dependent.
What we see on the web today is far superior than what was out 10 years ago - and I can only guess at what we'll see in even 5 years from now. I don't condone monopolies - but it is smart business to develop your game plan to work with the guys who have the biggest investment in what we WILL see in 5 years.

My stats look a lot like Luke's.
I typically design for IE but give it a whirl in Netscape to make sure it works, there.
I code html by hand, still, so most everything I do come up with in flat html will work in anything I'm concerned about. Most of the dynamic html I do won't work in Netscape - and there are few alternatives for it anyway.
Other that than that I worry about my largest surfer group using IE.
My two pennies ;)

i haven't used IE in a year. can't remember when's the last time i saw a pop-up. just that crappy Java Virtual Machine has a habit of sneaking worms into my pc on a couple of occasions.
i make all my sites in dreamweaver mx 2004 so far haven't had any problems since it uses CSS, tables occasionally show scrwed up a bit but in general and from personal experience a good 95% of sites render just as good in FireFox/Mozilla
