Password trading
As our site has gotten more high profile, the number of times we are finding password trading has occured is increasing. We are beefing up security again, but are also concerned about the impact this might have on our members. How are yall dealing with this problem? We added a filter that is blocking out all sites that are know trading sites (as we find them from the referring url list) as well as limiting concurent log ins..What else is good?
thanks
Alex

strongbox is technically the most complete and proficient solution available, plus its cheap at just $100 one-time licensing fee. And, by the way, Ray has been super speedy with getting these installed recently too :)
cheers,
Luke

any of those three will help you out :)

We've used pennywize for several years now. It works pretty well but is far from perfect. We're going to switch to strongbox soon to see if it does a better job.

I had an asian site and it was a uphill battle from day one. tried all three. pennywize is the worst of the three. ONLY proxypass did what i wanted.

I use strongbox and loving it

Along with the Strongbox system which is kind of like Pennywize on steroids,
we're also working on a couple of other related things, like adding IRC support
to our Proactive Spider, so along with watching password sites for passwords,
we watch the IRC channels and periodically query the major IRC bots.
We've got some other stuff int he works too, but it's not quite ready yet.
I'll let yall know when it is.
