Str8 companies treat it as a business. They know that to be successful they have to do it right. The str8 companies tend to have custom designed CMS systems etc. And now they are really doing exclusive content with a decent budget in mind. There are some that don't for sure.
Gay webmasters tend to NOT have the financial resources to make it happen. They fall in love with a niche, create a site that's good, then start fucking with it. Right when the tour starts converting, they change it. They go on vaca and don't update. Conversions begin to suck and members drop like flies.
My best clients are str8 companies that want to break into gay. They despise the content. So there is no emotional attachment to it. It's strictly business and the bottom line. They are willing to go out and spend the $$$ to do it right.
To make my point, you don't know how many CCbill sites that I have marketed over the years from gay webmasters that just flopped.

And there is a company that just produces Gay Sites w/ all exclusive content that you would never know is run by a str8 company, but I can't say the name.

you mean the gay sites at platinumbucks like twinks in the hood - the one with 100% NO twinks? i see you're using your affiliate code, but i doubt that you really believe the sites are any good.
i like the topbucks gay blind date site. it was a fresh and fun idea, and shows people getting to know each other before they fuck. in a world full of "find 'em, trick 'em, fuck 'em, forget 'em" reality sites, it's nice to see something that stands out.

decent based on whose opinion (web master or surfer) and what variable/s (conversions/sales/performance, design, content, personal preference etcetera)?
As a webmaster, yes, I strongly believe a decent site (based purely on performance, because nothing else matters) can be created by a person who isn't, or persons whom aren't, 'in to' it or aligned with whatever ideology the site promotes.
I, more or less, agree with what abostonboy stated (excluding the despise portion): ...there is no emotional attachment to it. It's strictly business and the bottom line. They are willing to go out and spend the $$$ to do it right.
From a surfers point of view: I couldn't care much less about whatever 'personal touches' the operator adds.
At the end of the day, it is all about content and how much you can cram down my throat. Give me a few morsels and you've just given me the time to find another love.
Throw as much content as you can at me, this way I will not be able to find time to go shopping.
Conversions and fpa's are awesome. If you are talking member's areas, that's a whole other issue.Quote:

When i was referring to the attachmenet to the content, I meant that many gay webmasters are attached to the content and think they can create a great paysite w/o thinking in terms of the costs involved to maintain a good product.
As far as the surfer seeing the webmasters attached to the content. The best sites I see are from webmasters who are actually attached to the content, writes about it, and you notice a bit of their sexuality through their website. I believe that webmasters - surfer bonding is very important...

As was pointed out by someone. Join one get acess to all 50 sites as well as over 500 dvds.
And let's not forget there are many gay guys like me who enjoy straight porn.
So sites like these are a big plus. And BTW a few of my gay friends enjoy str8 porn. I know there must be many that do...
