Do Any Of You Still Surf Porn As A Consumer?

I was just chatting with someone on ICQ and we (somehow) got on to the topic of surfing porn sites and how, after working in the adult industry for so long, we no longer look at porn sites as consumers but rather look at them from a webmasters point of view meaning, we look at the content, how it is utilized, the design, if its any good, the color scheme, does it work well for the niche, etc etc.

So i wondered, does anyone on GWW still actually surfer porn sites with a consumers mindset or, do you look at porn sites through your webmaster eyes constructively?

Ack! Porn? I can't stand it especially in it's online form. I have a few favorite DVDs that I will watch on occasion. I used to be a big fan of internet porn but I honestly just don't care anymore.

I try to surf porn sites as a consumer every once in a while, but its usually to check out whats on offer and to pick up some design or seo tips.

Maybe it’s because I'm still new to the bizz, but I still enjoy surfing as a consumer...I sometimes catch myself doing so when I should really be working. If anything I think it’s increased my appetite for porn!

I've been in the business over 6 years and still actively surf as a consumer. I think it really helps to get into that mindset to understand how to get a tour converting better, and also to see what else is out there and find new traffic sources...and although it takes me more to get a raging boner then how it was when I first started in the industry, I can still get turned on by a nice tour with good looking guys.

To be honest, I am not sure: I've never really purchased, or surfed much for, porn for ME, only for work. So, for me to say I am surfing like a consumer would be me stretching things.

I still get turned on by it, but I have to admit it is more from a business standpoint than a consumer thing. I pretty much keep myself satisfied in other ways on the content I shoot myself. Nothing hotter than watching a scene and remembering what was going on behind the scenes.........damn I love my job.
