Have you noticed that soME drivers licences, although look pretty when you look at them, are so NOT set up for taking a photocopy of?
the worst i have found are the ones with red DL number on an already dark background,
I am finding that I have to run them though a color scanner/copier to get a good copy.
anyone else notice this issue? or am i th eonly one still using a basic b+W copier?
How come you are only just noticing this now?

I havnt just noticed this now but i am also doing a load of dupliucating and cross filing which oftern has me making a 2nd copy for a backup.
also making sure all our secondry producer photosets have 2 copies of the docs in case one is damaged
i hit 'em with a 250 watt light and shoot 'em with a digital camera rather than scanning them. that seems to work better.
We also take a digital photograph... it's usually stored in the same folder as the shoot itself. Then we copy, reduce, and import it into our database, but the original 8mp image is stored with the set in case there's a problem. That takes care of issues like something not showing up in b&w, but there are still sometimes issues with holograms and so forth, so sometimes we just have to shoot it from several different angles until we get one that's readable.
We also take a picture of the model holding the ID, and for all our sets in the last year or two, both pictures go into the 2257 database.
