Incorporating 'offshore'

okay. I did my research. All my due diligence, etc. Got recommendations.

I decided that the best thing to do - being an orphan Canadian, VISA wise - was to incorporate in Europe.

So I've sent off emails to the list of companies that looked like they knew what they were doing(and heard that they knew what they were doing) and what happens?

ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING.

It was like the emails have disappeared down some sort of black hole.

I filled out the forms on the various sites... nada again.

WHAT GIVES?

Doesn't anyone want my business? Do I have some sort of internet cooties?

I'll take recommendations for incorporation companies(preferably Gibraltar) staring now!

Hell. I'll even consider incorporating in the States if I have to :(

Incorporating in the EU is a long and expensive process. Even painful.

Opening a bank account remotely in the EU, especially for a company that is involved in adult entertainment, will give you new experiences in excruciating agony. Banks that used to maintain accounts for adult companies are closing those accounts so there are few choices.

We used Treppides Associates Limited to incorporate in Cyprus.
It was expensive but painless. They handle everything including
setting up the bank account. We also worked with a company in
Spain (ssearchweb.com) that can incorporate you and set up a merchant
account.

In the states, Delaware is by far the first choice followed by Nevada.
It makes a difference from a tax viewpoint, though, where you physically
conduct business. PM me if you’d like more info.

Why do you want to incorporate offshore instead of paying taxes like everyone else does?

i'd incorporate in Canada if it made a difference.

But I have to incorporate abroad ie the US or Europe to access VISA.

why should I willingly subject myself to US law when I don't have to?

Because I can and as a small company I follow the example of the big ones. They go where the taxes are lower, the rules and regulations are less tight and the work force is cheaper. Granted, it's not patriotic, but why should I be the fool, stay here and the big ones simply give a shit about 'my' country. Through their power of lobbyism they have the ability to change things. I don't don't have this tool, I simply use their system to my advantage wherever I can.

However, I still pay taxes in 'my' country, only my company pays where it is incorporated. Luckily as an EU citizen I have an easy and wide choice of countries. At least until politicians make some substantial changes to the system. But I'm pretty sure I won't live that long to see it coming.
