How Is The Photography Market These Days?

In terms of surfers buying actual photos of landscapes, portraits and that kind of thing?

I know we have a few photographers on GWW that do a lot of non-adult stuff and was wondering if they had any insight as to how well that market is doing for online sales right now?

The reason i ask is that Mom is looking to start taking photos of the beach and related stuff in the area with the ultimate goal of selling them as 'prints' online for a few bucks per pic.

I was wondering if there was anything she should know about before embarking on this project from those of you in the know about this type of business?
