How Do You Do Your Budgeting?

When it comes to re-investing back in to your adult business?

Do you take a percentage of your monthly income and put that aside for re-investments (traffic, content, better hosting, design, programming, etc) or do you tend to spend what you need to, when you need to?

I know a lot of off-line businesses take anywhere between 10-30% of their revenue and re-invest it into business development, i just wondered how the rest of you folks did it?

For us, we have a set budget each month, content, traffic, design, etc all has to come out of this budget (which im actually over right now, but dont tell Gary lol) i just wondered how the rest of you went about growing your adult businesses?

I go to wellsfargo.com and check my balance. If I have money in there, I spend it. :D

If at the end of the month some money is left, I spent it with my bf for dinner or some new nice clothes. :moneybags: No joke, it's true!

If I have to make an investment for a future project, I planned, then I will calculate how much I need and save the money for it.
I try to have a easy life.

We use what we spent that last year as a base budget, and we will add to areas like hosting, marketing eployees. Quickbooks for the most part make the budgeting really easy.

I spend on business investment when I am ready for it.

We just go over things that we believe need to be done, and allocate funds for them a few months in advance, all done in excel.

I don't like allocating a percentagt to building the biz since some things might not get done one month, because of too tight budget, and the next month we would have too much left which would then be spent on something less profitable.

The base for my budget is doing a sales forecast, then I add fixed expenses, then scheduled projects and I end with a cash balance forecast.
