How Much More Volume Can The Industry Take?

So i was just searching around looking at all the new sites, programs, designers, hosts, etc that have launched over the past two years and i started wondering, just how much more growth of this magnitude can the industry actually sustain?

I mean we all know that sales are becoming harder to get, traffic isnt being shared as much as it used to be so that is getting harder to get, affiliates are looking for more, with all of this going on, how much longer can the industry sustain itself with everyone trying to grab their own peice of the pie?

It just seems like the harder it gets to make actual sales, the more 3rd world Phillipino designers pop out of the woodwork, the more traffic brokers start being seen on the boards and the more hosts, content providers etc start up.

At what point is the industry going to implode on itself and when should we start saying enough is enough?

I rather disagree that there is less traffic, per se. I think that will all the new people running sites, that it has speeded up the surfer education, and while traffic isn't necessarily down, buying might be, hence the increased ratios because simply, the surfer is getting smarter and more astute on what they want to plunk their cash down on.

I also think that some regulations have an impact, and the changes where business are more nosey than before, cutting down on some activities, as well as more snooping by family.

I think that eventually, and soon I hope, the industry will begin to weed out the leaches, that rip people off with their cookie cutter concepts.

Ian, i didnt say there was less traffic, i said people werent spreading it about as much meaning there is less traffic sharing going which in turn makes it harder to get traffic.

Instead of sending it to TGPs for example, people are now sending traffic to their own networks, instead of sending it to sponsors, they are sending it to their own sites.

True, in a sense. I mean there are more 'traffic traders' 'designers' as you mention as well, and I think realistically it comes down to lack of business sense.

Yes, people are trying to keep the surfer within their own 'network' but people still have a thirst for more, and I doubt that recycling them through a chain makes for improved sales. Nor does it limit the surfer's ability to break out of the chain to go elsewhere for their porn.

The wife is a good example. He loves surfing for his porn, when he isn't reading my stories, of course, :cheekymonkey: but I watch how he surfs, and he quickly breaks out of the endless chains some sites throw up. He's not stupid, and he sees what he wants, then moves on.. very adapt at that my wife is.. :innocent:

I also think that there are many out there who share their experiences. I don't really think its because sites use their own network to trap them, I think the word gets out, and so those places get avoided. Good ones get more, bad ones less.

I'd also hazard a guess that a lot of this is due to the abundance of assorted niches. There is simply more in each particular niche to keep some happy for ages. Some are comfortable in just seeing the same old face or video.

I really don't think that it is that people are not sharing traffic as much as what is out there, is too similar. When someone finds what they want, they stick longer, instead of just clicking endlessly to new places.
