How do you decide WHO you are going to trust in the adult industry when it comes to your business dealings?

Do you have a checklist of sorts of things that you want to make sure about a person before you start working with them (or letting them workf or you)?

What makes you decide if you are willing to work closely with someone that you havent already worked with and how important do you think the role of message boards are when it comes to building trust based working relationships with others in the industry?

Also, if someone hits you up that you have seen posting on the boards, does that affect how you handle that person on icq, in person, or on the phone, email etc?
