What is the point in closing a site and cancelling all active members so they no longer rebill? :eek:
Even if the site isnt going to update, surely its better to keep making money from the sites existing customers?

The only thing I can think of is that they want to launch a new paysite with similar or same content and try to entice existing members to move over to it. Other than that, I can't really think of a reason.

If the site is closed, it doesnt really matter, the member can just cancel their membership if they no longer want access.Quote:

Perhaps 2257 concerns, or a major server crash without adequate backups.
What site are we discussing?
If they were opening a new site, why not offer the old members multi site access to the new site. If the members are rebilling, i cant see why youd cancel them. Surely there is allways a better way to keep their money?
