New way of resizing images (youtube video) - awesome software!

Hi,

computergeeks found a new way of resizing images.

If called "Seam Carving" and the algorythm deletes irrelevant parts/pixels from an image dynamically so that the image is "shrunk" right. It can also be used to "grow" images by adding parts/pixels to an image.

The video also shows how to delete objects VERY easy.


GREAT piece of code - hope we see the code library in Photoshop or other software quite soon

You can upload a pic and use the toolbar on top (sliders) so shrink your image - there will be read thread in the image - those are what the algorythm deletes...

There are buttons on the top right "preserve" and so on - you can highlight areas of your pic with those

That is truly amazing! Although if they really want to market this awesome technology they are going to need a catchier name than "Content-Aware Image Sizing". BORING! Lol.
