Never tried promoting the gay niche, thinking of trying it.
So, whats the deal...whats the best gay sponsor program? :)

Hi and welcome to the board ... before you go picking up sponsors, take the time to read a bit and get more familiar with the Gay Market and what it's about.

It helps to get a solid idea about the kinds of sites the guys like, and the niches that come into play, so you can get a good idea of just what aspect of Gay Porn you'd like to get involved in. Lots of wonderful threads here, and tons of great articles in the tutorial forum, plus good overviews of the various niches.

Welcome remote to the board. I agree with Bec, check out the articles and tutorials before you just jump into the gay market.

As Bec mentioned before jumping in with both feet make sure you do some reading up first, the gay market is so much different than the straight side of the biz its unreal :)

Do the groundwork first and you wont go far wrong :)

I'm new to this end of the industry too, but not so much the visitor end. If you've never looked at gay porn, now could be a good time to see all the different approaches. Might poke through some link lists and visit several sites, get an idea of how the niches are portrayed and what guys are actually looking at and what else there is to do :)

I wonder.......if it's possible, would checking the local adult businesses be worthwhile too? Like, rent a video for whichever niche and listen to the language being used and get a feel for the overall attitude, or see what toys and models are common and how they're presented, even see what the customers are like....?

(I've never seen straight porn so that's what I'd do if I decided to make a non-gay site -- I know what boobs look like, and that's literally about it lol)

gay isn't a niche, it's a market. twinks is a niche, bears is a niche (hairy men), men's feet is a niche. gay does well for me. i can't say there is any one best gay sponsor anymore than there is one best straight sponsor.

see what seems like you can promote it - and then ask for sponsor recommendations!
