Click Through Ratios - What Gives You The Best CTR?

Been looking over various stats again today mainly for text links and banner / button ads on our free site network and was surprised to see that there wasnt actually that much difference between the amount of clicks text links and graphics links have been pulling over the last 3 months.

By difference i mean on comparable traffic amounts and niches and less than a 10% variance too.

So i wondered if anyone here had noticed any significant differences over how many clicks graphic ads pull over text links?

I know last year i personally noticed that text links pulled more clicks but given the stats i have just seen it looks like there isnt a significant difference any more :eek:

So what do you think? Do text links still pull more than targeted graphic ads in todays adult industry?

I find well written text links tend to do better.

a text link works best for me unless there is a really good banner - which most are not, imo.

a text link with a good banner also works pretty well.

Have to say that text works best for me too.
