It legal here for 18+ clubs to have younger dancers. It's not particularly legal for them to dance in the 21+ clubs...but you see it all the time. Twinks seem to sell in LA :)
Andy,
So in other words, it depends on the club promoter and if they are willing to take a risk?
Yeah, for the most part. The legality of it all depends on the venue's liquor license; some places are allowed to serve as 18+ (provided they meet certain requirements), but unless they've been allowed that, all employees and patrons must LEGALLY be 21 or over to be inside the building.
Of course, thats the law talking...i've seen countless people who've let underage dancers into their clubs/bars; some of their own volition...others were provided w/ fake id.
I think in their mind...if the crowd draw will be big enough (or if they want to sleep w/ the dancer bad enough)...they'll bend/break the rules.
It's Legal in San Diego, I know that.
Hmmm -- I remember seeing Kid Jonny Lang perform at a bar in Grand Forks when he was just 15 years old and before his record deal.......
(he is really a great musician)
Usually there are no issues unless the performers drink.
I know Brent Corrigan was performing at Rich's in San Diego and Micky's and Rage in WeHo at age 19, It was always on Manger approval some venues assigned security to monitor them.
