EGPA Ltd Announces EGPA Web Awards For October 2008

UK – February 20th, 2008 – EGPA Ltd, producers of the European Gay Porn Awards, the world’s first and only fully-democratic gay porn awards scheme, have announced the launch of the 2008 EGPA Web Awards, which will take place in Berlin, Germany, during the international trade fair Venus Berlin in October, 2008.

Speaking at the launch, Marc Cram, director of EGPA, said: “As we all know in this technological age, not all gay porn is studio based. Truth is some of the best action around is on the web – a fact that millions of guys have long since realised. Having so successfully launched the European Gay Porn Awards last year, we are now hereby acknowledging the importance of web-based GLBT entertainment with the launch of the EGPA Web Awards, which will run alongside the European Gay Porn Awards.

“The marvel of the Web is that it knows of no geographical boundaries,” Cram continued. “As a result, the EGPA Web Awards will be an essentially European celebration but will obviously welcome nominees from every quarter of the globe. America, Asia, Australia – it won’t matter one bit. So long as it serves the worldwide online gay community and it’s filthy hot then we shall be more than happy to spotlight such achievement.”

Nominations for the EGPA Web Awards will be invited from both the public and webmasters from 1st March to 16th May, 2008. A public vote will then take place at the EGPA Web Awards website between June and September to determine the ultimate winners, which will then be announced at the twelfth Venus Berlin trade fair in October. “As such,” Cram insists, “it’ll once again be the ordinary gay guy in the street who’ll be deciding which individuals and companies deserve one of our awards. Honours given not through the whims and fancies of industry moguls and so-called insiders, but by means of the only people who matter: ordinary guys who know and love good gay porn when they see it!”

Meantime, the 2nd European Gay Porn Awards – produced to honour studio-produced porn – are due to take place at the UfaFabrik International Centre in Berlin on Sat.17th May, 2008. “With almost every major producer represented at the event, it promises to be a star-spangled celebration in every sense of the word – one that anyone who’s anyone in the world of gay porn would be a fool to miss!” Cram insists. “After last year’s fantastic show in Amsterdam, Berlin promises to be an even greater occasion.
