Visitor Tracking
What are other people using to track their visitors? Currently I’m using the free (500 ‘hit’) service at StatCounter. I really like their layout and easy to read charts. I don’t however want to pay for this service. On an old site I used a program called AXS. It was ok but no where near as nice as StatCounter. It also used https (it was a pearl script.) Does anyone use https anymore? I just want to be able to track as many sites and have however many ‘hits’ without paying a monthly fee. But I also want a nice looking graphical layout for displaying the data.

Stats
There is also...
Free-
Webalizer (http://www.webalizer.com/)
AWstats (http://awstats.sourceforge.net/)
(You can install yourself)
Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/)
(simple java code you install in your site's footer or pages)
We offer Plesk control panel to our customer...and Plesk has built in AWstats and Webalizer so there is nothing you need to install..it is already there.
Most hosting companies have Plesk, Cpanel, or Ensim. They all have one or two stats built in. Check with your hosting company first before installing one on your own.

What about moving stats?
I had to move my site to a new host. Is it possible to move the stats? I have AWStats on both servers.

Move AWstats
In most cases... yes, you can...
Depends on if you have access to the files, if the files are in good form, and you know a little about the new and old host file layout.

If you get lost, the new host might be able to help you.
