Webcam Recording Software? HD Preferred...

Do any of you folks know of any software/webcams that can actually record the stream in 1600px+ on the shortest side?

I have a guy in town who was referred to me looking to start his own porn site but right now, the webcam he has is really shitty and realistically, if he launches a site with recorded content using his existing cam, nobody is going to join his site.

We're actually considering having him get on webcam for pretty much an entire month, record the streams in HD (or at least hi resolution) and just throwing the guy a few hundred bucks for jacking off and using that content ourselves for a site but, we want to make sure we're able to record in a decent quality before we go any further with this idea.

So, anyone know of any reasonably priced webcam or webcam software than can record/stream in high resolution or hi def?

check out bestbuy they have some hi definition webcams on sale at the moment i was looking for some cheap webcam the other night to see if i can use them to take pics with
