Do Any Of You Use AutoResponders On Your Blogs?

Im thinking of adding a 'contact me' link on some of my blogs but, instead of that email address actually coming to me, im thinking about sending it to an autoresponder message that will reply with an email saying something along the lines of 'thanks for contacting me, due to getting lots of emails from my blog readers i have had to shut this email account down but you might be interested in checking out mysponsorspaysite.com'

Have any of you folks tried this method of marketing programs on blogs and if so, how well did it work for you?

Im guessing that it probably doesnt drive much traffic but that perhaps 1% of the people getting that message over the course of a year may signup to the site mentioned in the email autoresponder.

I have a "Contact" link on many of my blogs and never ever had any surfer tried to contact me :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: (and yes the blogs get good traffic).

So this probably wouldn't work for me. But if you'll try that out, I'm really curious about your results, so please let us know.
