Do You Think Independent And Mom + Pop Webmasters Are Disadvantaged?

When it comes to certain things in the industry over those companies that have multiple employees able to work full or part time?

I know in the past we have had business ideas in development only to be beaten to the punch by a larger program or larger group of webmasters combining their efforts.

Do you think when it comes to certain things, small independant webmasters, affiliates and program owners are actually at a disadvantage with working online?

Can't say I think of it as being at a disadvantage ... but definately find it a challenge to be competitive at the same level of development, design, production, etc without a slew of "helpers" to get it off the idea board and onto the web.
