Ok, I'm starting a new review site. I've been told to do it using a cms system.. IE: wordpress or a scripted source.
I guess I'm old school, I am still feeling the need to hand code each page with love and sweat. Do you think either one is better for seo?
I am hoping my hardwork and hand coded pages will play bigger over a cms or wordpress created review site...
thoughts?
I've read that handcoding still reaps some benefits for SE positioning, but I do love the speed and ease of using a program like Wordpress. I'm also seeing good SE traffic from my blogs that use it. It would be interesting if we could setup two nearly identical sites, with the same traffic, same trades, etc , one done by hand and the other a cms and see where they show up in the SE's.
If you have a good CMS in place that has customizable templates, the search engines wont be able to tell whether the pages have been script generated or hand coded.

I worked with a review site some time ago that was basically updated by hand and it surely was not fun by any means and from traffic, it was no different then one running a cms.

why do it by hand when there are tons of scripts that do all the behind-the-scenes stuff for you automatically? Save time and automate, then spend that time on something productive (or even just relaxing)!
