who makes the sale?

i saw this thread on gfy and it was quite interesting asking if two webmasters send the same surfer to the same site which one should be the person who gets the sale do you think the first webmaster for introducing the site to the surfer should or the second webmaster for sendinng them back again to the same site?

The affiliate that sent the surfer when they joined makes the sale, just like in 'real world' commission based jobs, whoever closes the deal, gets the commission.
