Thoughts on Google Buzz?

Last year I participated in a mainstream marketing webinar where one of the panelists was extolling the virtues of Google Buzz and how she thought it was going to be bigger than Twitter. I was skeptical at the time, and now almost a year later I don't see Google Buzz even coming close to being a viable competitor for Twitter (in terms of social media marketing). Any thoughts?

oops....I must have missed that whole launch and fanfare, this is the first I have heard of buzz.
