Here comes the PSP Phone

Holy **** — this, it’s real! Although we have no set release date; Engadget is saying a 2010 release could happen, but 2011 is looking more realistic. Also, the photo below, that particular model is a prototype, but that’s the general idea. Come release the PSP Phone will look something similar to this:
PSP Phone Specs:

OS: likely Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread) with custom Sony Marketplace
Processor: 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655
Memory: 512MB RAM; 1GB ROM
Screen: in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches
Media: microSD (no Memory Stick; really? Weird)

if it runs android our mobile sites shouldn't need any changes ;)

Its kewl to see Sony carving a niche into the smart phone market, I think this will do well with gamers and kids (and parents that want to keep their kids quiet)!

they need to do something apple holds monopoly on handheld gaming nintendo and sony suffer, apple beats them combined ;) i say apple buy nintendo and bring those games to iphone and sony smarten up and build their games for iphone as well as launch there own phone since they do have a slide out game pad - but with it being android they could very well get back a large portion of there market share since there are so many different android phones ;)

I think they have a lot of catching up to do.
