Firefox 4 beta has big speed improvements

Firefox 4, beta 7 was released yesterday with a number of new features designed to speed it up. The mozilla blog update reports a number of improvements, including a new JavaScript engine "JägerMonkey JIT compiler" that significantly improves speed in faster start-up time, improved page-load speed and the performance of Web apps and games.

The new beta also incorporates hardware-accelerated graphics (using DirectX in Windows XP and OpenGL on Mac OS) plus WebGL (leveraging your OpenGL graphic cards) to boost graphic performance.

i was using FF 4 for a while back in the beta 1 days. decided to drop it do to it crashing alot cause of the flash block ad on i was using.

will give it another try and see how its performing now.

yup seems faster didnt crash when i loaded up a ton of flash websites YAY

and the most important feature for me is on mac right click icon in the dock to create new window ;)

status bar is missing other then that its great.

well that sucks where is my color picker and measure it going to go?
having issue with camtwist not being recognized ;(
