new Facebook registration tool

This week, Facebook launched a new registration tool designed for site owners to allow users to signup to your site with their facebook account. The tool is an iframe that pre-fills the registration tool with Facebook info when available. I think this is a very interesting option for those that run sites that require logins, for example, a forum like this one. And if your site is aimed at surfers that don't know your product yet, it may actually result in a lot more member signups when they see how easy it is to register using their facebook login. Who knows, it may actually add credibility to your site too.

This has got me thinking more and more about social networking integration on sites and also makes me believe that 2011 may be a bumper year for those that get involved and adapt to these new marketing techniques.
