Windows 7 now at 20% global usage

Dec 2010 saw Windows 7 global penetration finally break the 20% barrier, hitting 20.87% global usage, according to Net Marketshare statistics. Check out the graph below to see its progress throughout the year.

Remember the old days when a new version of Windows came out and people actually lined up around the block to purchase it at midnight? Oh, how times have changed when Microsoft can't even get existing XP clients (like me) to upgrade. Not to mention the strengthening competition with Apple and Linux.
