BBC report on internet porn usage

the BBC put out a report last week about internet porn usage, surveying just over 1000 18-24 year olds. The article goes on to day 80% of men said they looked at internet porn, compared to ~35% of women.

I found the attached chart very interesting, particularly how it shows that mobile phones are used for porn more than paysites. This shows a real opportunity exists for mobile porn sites.

So how many of us are pushing mobile porn sites? And are you pushing it more or less than home-based sites? We have 9 mobile pay sites and admittedly, we don't spend nearly as much energy on pushing those sites as we should. Seeing these numbers makes me think about my work plan!

I did not read the article yet, but their question was a bit muddled if all they asked was if the respondents ever looked at porn?

I think for paysite owners, the issue is if there is enough mobile traffic to make it worthwile? We have two mobile sites with Spankmo, I get a feeling it is still in its very early stages. But the future is undoubtedly mobile.

Let's get those File Sharing Networks list down! I'm assuming those are networks such as FilesMonster, torrents, etc. If I'm right, I want to see that bar drop down more!

This problem with this report is that it is lacking a demographic that actually has the means to pay for anything to begin with nor would we consider the 18-24 demographic our target market.

With age comes experience, higher incomes, access to credit, etc. I'd be more interested in the 30+ demographic who generally has greater access to credit and likely will put a premium on convince and ease of use.
