As AVN readers know, in 2003, in the famous case of Lawrence v. Texas, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the laws that criminalized what many states described as "crimes against nature"—blowjobs and anal sex—were violations of citizens' rights to sexual privacy. Sadly, it took Louisiana eight more years to get the full import of the message.
