new USA search stats released

Stats company Experian Hitwise released its latest round of search stats last week, detailing search habits of USA surfers during the month of August 2011.

Google stats fell to 65% (from 66%) while both Bing and Yahoo were up by about 1% each to 29% and 16% respectively. See the first attachment attached for the full set of stats.

Another interesting discovery was that longer search queries (5 to 8 words or more) increased 3 percent from July 2011 to August 2011. Check out the second attachment for more stats.
